The Mango Tree's Director of Programmes in Kenya, Consolata Achieng, took part in a TV interview recently conducted by Kenya's broadcaster, John Sibi Okumu for Kiss TV. During her filmed interview, which you can view in full by clicking on the links below, Consolata speaks about TMT Kenya's approach to orphan care and the impact of our work on rural communities in the areas of western Kenya where we have worked since the programme started in 2006. Consolata is asked questions about her best practice model of family based orphan care (a form of foster care targeting very vulnerable children) and the great results it is showing in the children's lives as well as improving education standards and school retention - particularly for girls.

Congratulations to Consolata and her team for getting recognition for their fantastic work with orphans and vulnerable children and young people in Kenya.
