Andilile Ibrahim
Andilile is the Director of The Mango Tree Orphan Support Programme and is a trustee of both the UK and Tanzanian trusts.
Born in Rungwe District in 1948, he was educated at Ramogi Secondary School and the Dar es Salaam School of Accountancy, before studying at West Bromwich College in the UK. He is a member of the Institute of Purchasing and Supplies and of the Institute of Purchasing Management in the UK.
From 1969 to 1977 he worked as an accounts clerk and senior storekeeper for Tanzania Elimu Supplies Ltd. He was Supplies Manager for Tanzania Shoe Company Ltd from 1978 to 1986. He then worked for the Morogoro Ceramics Wares Company Ltd as the Commercial Manager, before being promoted to General Manager of that company. In 1992, he founded the Imbaseni Vocational Training Centre for the Scripture Union of Tanzania, which he ran until he founded the Mango Tree in September 2002.
Andilile is married to Tusanye and they have six children and two grandchildren. |
