Bob Dowson

Bob is a trustee of the UK trust.

He was born in 1973, and worked as a consultant with McKinsey and company, having read PPE at Oxford University.

Although interested in philanthropy for years, his serious involvement in the sector began in August 2000, when he set up Sulney Fields Charitable Trust in the UK.

He took a year out from business in 2002 to source and evaluate charitable projects across a broad range of geographies and causes, and came to focus on AIDS orphans after a visit to the excellent Malawi Children's Village in southern Malawi.

Gail Fulton

Gail is a trustee of the UK trust.

She was born in 1945, is a physiotherapist by background and worked at the Red Cross Rehabilitation Centre for Polio Children and at the Muhimbili Hospital in Dar es Salaam as a VSO volunteer from 1968 to 1970.

She is chairman of Lister Steps, an inner city initiative to provide day care facilities for the children of working parents in the Tuebrook area of Liverpool. She is also a selector for VSO and a parish councillor. Married to Willie, Gail has three grown-up children and three grandchildren.

William Fulton

William is the chairman of both the UK and Tanzanian trusts.

He was born in 1944, is a chartered accountant and worked as Chief Accountant of Tanzania Elimu Supplies Ltd as a VSO volunteer from 1968-1970. He is a past chairman of the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine and of Liverpool Associates in Tropical Health Ltd, a former High Sheriff of Merseyside and a former trustee of Uppingham School.

He is currently chairman of Fulton Group Limited and of the Liverpool Council of Social Service, and of the Liverpool Cathedral Executive Committee (and he is a member of the Chapter of Liverpool Cathedral). he is a Vice-President of the Institut Panafricain de Sante Communautaire (IPASC) . He is a magistrate and a Deputy Lieutenant of Merseyside.

Andilile Ibrahim

Andilile is the Director of The Mango Tree Orphan Support Programme and is a trustee of both the UK and Tanzanian trusts.

Born in Rungwe District in 1948, he was educated at Ramogi Secondary School and the Dar es Salaam School of Accountancy, before studying at West Bromwich College in the UK. He is a member of the Institute of Purchasing and Supplies and of the Institute of Purchasing Management in the UK.

From 1969 to 1977 he worked as an accounts clerk and senior storekeeper for Tanzania Elimu Supplies Ltd. He was Supplies Manager for Tanzania Shoe Company Ltd from 1978 to 1986. He then worked for the Morogoro Ceramics Wares Company Ltd as the Commercial Manager, before being promoted to General Manager of that company. In 1992, he founded the Imbaseni Vocational Training Centre for the Scripture Union of Tanzania, which he ran until he founded the Mango Tree in September 2002.

Andilile is married to Tusanye and they have six children and two grandchildren.

Patrick Ndaalio

Patrick is the treasurer of the Tanzanian trust.

Born in Birkenhead, UK in 1971, he was educated in Tanzania before returning to the UK to study for a degree in accountancy and computer studies at Lancaster University.

On returning to Tanzania, he trained and qualified as a Certified Accountant with Deloitte Touche, for whom he continues to work in Dar es Salaam. Patrick has wide experience in auditing ranging from the subsidiaries of large international companies, to local companies and several NGO's.

Patrick is married to Basila and they have a young son, called Gaspar.
