Mango Tree intern supports the project development work in Kenya and Tanzania

Lucy Cole first visited Mango Tree in Kyela, Tanzania in 2006 as a member of a school group of year 12 students, and has developed a very special relationship with the work of Mango Tree over the last 7 years. She has played an important part in the work of monitoring and evaluating the project work and helping the programmes set accountable aims and objectives.  We are very grateful to her for her dedication and passion for the work of the Mango Tree. This is her story.

The Mango Tree Family Association goes from strength to strength

 The Mango Tree Family Association (TMTFA) is making great headway in its fifth year. It is a student led community based organisation that was established by senior orphans to support the work of the Mango Tree, and it is making a really valuable contribution to the community.

Kyela Polytechnic College Opening

In 2010, The Mango Tree received generous donations from Google Inc., The Oglesby Charitable Trust and The Samworth Foundation to construct a vocational training college in Kyela District, South West Tanzania.
